When burdens become heavy, and life is painful, it may be difficult to reach out for help. Let’s pause and acknowledge that you have taken a first step on your path to healing. Looking for a therapist may feel overwhelming, but it will be worth your effort. I have maintained a private practice of over 16 years. During that time, I have gathered experience, skills, and sought mentors to obtain and maintain competence in my field. When you choose me as your therapist you will notice that I take a direct approach to life’s problems. Whether it is individual struggles and growth, relational, or family issues, we will work together in a supportive environment to find the solutions that work for you. If you wish to weave your spiritual faith into your therapy I am very happy to accommodate. Whether you desire just a few sessions or want to continue therapy for a longer period we will maintain a collaborative environment in which you can move beyond the pain and into a more enjoyable life.
I believe many things influence the counseling process. Spiritual awareness and religious background are taken into consideration as well as cultural views, family structure, age, and social/economic status. With my experience in the area of marriage and families, I provide counseling services to help people create peace and balance in their lives through enhancing growth and understanding toward God, self, and others.
I am a Christian that just “happens to be a therapist.” I offer Christ-centered counseling. For those who do not wish to incorporate faith in sessions, I will work with you and respect that decision as well. Healing and Grace is for all.
